Synopsis
Stranded in Africa amid an apocalyptic zombie outbreak, Lieutenant Brian Murphy unwillingly teams up with local soldier Daniel to commence on a journey across harsh lands in an attempt to survive against the onslaught of ‘the dead’. In a film that has as many stunning vistas as terrifying scares and gore, The Dead reclaims the zombie genre from the realm ofthe ‘zomcom’ by returning to the peak of Romero’s era, with the protagonists’ epic journey providing an emotional twist to frame the splatter and scares of the zombie genre that we know and love.
